The foot switch comprises a single-pole push-on\push-off switch attached to a metal bracket which is spot-welded to the metal base of the switch housing.
The switch itself is by Leviton, who manufactured the switch fitted in the controls boxes for Rhythm Chief pickups Models 1000 and 1100.
The cable exiting the housing is protected by a strain-relief clamp similar to those used in the volume control pedals with a permanently connected cable, such as the Model 600 and some attachable guitar pickups.
The foot switch’s flexible rubber outer cover incorporates a captive circular metal disc which protects the cover during operation.
