This ‘Epitome Electric’ lap steel guitar shows the name ‘Federated Teachers Service Corp.’ on its headstock.  This instrument was built by the Jackson Guldan Co., Columbus, Ohio, who traded from 1915 to 1971.  That company is more famous for its violins.  The single pickup is a plain chrome Hershey Bar type, riveted to a metal plate.
