Barclay was one of the many house brands of musical instruments originally produced by CMI (Chicago Musical Instruments), a company founded in 1920. Their models were similar to some Harmony instruments, with different DeArmond pickups

Type D: Guitar, Model 82212-5150 – Thin hollow body archtop; finished sunburst; one ‘Golden Tone’ four-scroll pickup with white bezel (as DeArmond model 6812) at neck; one volume and one tone control; two white knobs.
Type E: Guitar, Model 82115-8400 – Thin hollow body archtop; finished sunburst; two ‘Golden Tone’ four-scroll pickups with white bezels (as DeArmond model 6812); two volume and two tone controls; four white knobs; one three-way pickup selector switch; vibrato.
Type F: Guitar, Model 82209-10160 – Deeper hollow body archtop; finished sunburst; two four-scroll pickups with integral chrome bezels on timber bases; two volume and two tone controls; four white knobs; one three-way pickup selector switch; vibrato.
